Hello and welcome.
I have enjoyed producing graphite portraits for over 12 years and the process couldn't be simpler.
A good quality photograph is the starting point. The first step is to take photographs that you feel capture the personality of the subject/s. Any relatively close up (high resolution) and clear image can be a potential candidate for the portrait. Usually, several photos are sent through and once I have decided which photo I can work with, I discuss it with you and we take it from there. It is important to choose a photograph that we are both happy with.
Once the photograph has been agreed on, we can then decide on a time frame, I usually ask for at least a month from start to finish but this will vary depending on the type of portrait, the time of year and other variables. If you have a particular deadline ie: birthday, Christmas etc... please contact me well in advance if possible, as there is usually a queue of portraits waiting to get on the easel.
As the portrait progresses I will forward images to you by email so that you can check that it is to your liking. Once it is ready it will be carefully packed and posted to your address or delivered by hand depending on your location..
